Sounds like the start of a crude joke, right? Yeah, well, the joke's on me because I'm investigating the gorgeous one in the heels with the great ass. Jensen Montgomery.

She takes pride in her work, although she acknowledges the long hours don’t do her social life any good. Eli is an FBI agent who just has started working a ‘normal’ FBI job. He’s done with undercover work and pretending to be one of the bad guys, so white-collar crime is his new thing. When Jen and Eli meet, both are intrigued. But unknowingly to Jen, she’s a person of interest for the FBI… And Eli is one of the investigators…

Bad Situation is the first book in the new ‘Montgomery Series’ by Brynne Asher. Like her other books there’s a sweet yet strong leading lady, an Alpha hero, a few bad guys and a whole bunch of friendly, supportive side characters. And if you wonder about a number of these people, yes you have met them in previous books. Always good to see beloved characters again! Since this is book 1 in the series, a few hints are dropped for the next books to come, I can’t wait to read them.

Jen and Eli are an awesome couple together. Yes, their start is a bit rough (who wouldn’t be upset when finding out hunky guy is investigating you for bad stuff), but when Eli starts to listen to his gut feelings all changes fast. Together Eli and Jen are going after the truth, while getting to know each other very well (wink wink, not just their personal favorite foods and movies). I love Jen and Eli, they bring out the best in each other and are very supportive. I love their Happily Ever After, one big swoon!
“There’ll never be a day that I don’t track you.” Tears escape her eyes even as a smile breaks across her beautiful face. “I’ll be happy for you to creep on me. Forever.”
