Christmas at the Murphy household has always been a big deal, but with her daughters getting older, Kacie Murphy is feeling a bit sentimental, so she decides to give her family the perfect Christmas.

Plans of cookie baking, sleigh ride taking, and snowman making are quickly put in jeopardy when Kacie receives devastating news—her mom has sold the beloved Cranberry Inn.

Not one to let his wife stay sad for long, hockey hunk and husband extraordinaire, Brody Murphy, hatches the ultimate surprise to save Kacie’s perfect Christmas.

When fate and the weather threaten his plans once again, Brody, Viper and Andy might just have to phone in a favor to Santa himself to save Christmas at the Cranberry Inn.

*This low-angst, heartwarming novella of family and Christmas is the final farewell of the Cranberry Inn gang that readers have grown to love over the years.

One of my favorite authors is Beth Ehemann. I love her couples, their different love stories and the friendships they have. All her books are interconnected; the characters show up in the other stories. In A Cranberry Inn Christmas, all the couples from the previous books come together for one last celebration in the beloved Inn.

“Her words broke my heart. I was absolutely crazy about my wife, and one of the things I loved most about her was the way she got overly excited about everything… like Christmas.”

Kacie is living her busy, happy life with Brody and her four girls. With Brody on the road so much she never has a dull moment, there is always something happening. This year Kacie wants the perfect Christmas, and spending it with all her loved ones. But then her mother drops a bomb; The Cranberry Inn is sold. It’s the place where Kacey has lived with her two eldest daughters before she met Brody. A place that holds so many great and beautiful memories. And for once, planner Kacie doesn’t know how she will overcome this devastating news.

“Life had been so crazy lately, between hockey and mom’s house and everything else, that I’d started to forget the simple things… like how amazing my sexy husband smelled, and how good his arms felt around me.”

Brody is still enjoying his hockey career. Not only is he a good player, but some of his teammates are close friends. Yes, he misses Kacie and the girls when he’s on the road, but he knows his Kacie has everything under control. When Kacie tells Brody about the sale of the Inn, he understands how hurt she is, but he doesn’t know how to ease her pain. Luckily his friend and teammate Viper comes up with the perfect plan. With the help of their friends Brody can save Kacie’s perfect Christmas.

“My heart pounded wildly inside my chest and my mind raced with possibilities and scenarios as to how I could actually pull this plan off. I wanted so badly to save Kacie’s perfect Christmas and, ironically, Viper’s idea might be just that… perfect.”

Having read ‘the Cranberry Inn series’, ‘the Viper’s heart series’ and Even the Score, it was so good to see everybody together for a special Christmas celebration. A Cranberry Inn Christmas feels a bit crowded because of all the different POV’s, but since I know all the couples from the previous books I didn’t mind. I love how everybody is together, one big group of friends and family, together for Christmas.

“I crashed my mouth against his. Never in my life had I needed to kiss him more than I did at that exact second. This man, this husband of mine, knew me better than I knew myself.”

I’ve enjoyed reading A Cranberry Inn Christmas and I can’t wait to start decorating for Christmas myself. I give this story 4 stars.
