I received this book from Social Butterfly PR in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

When I met Donovan Kincaid, I knew he was rich. I didn’t know he was filthy. Truth be told, I was only trying to get his best friend to notice me.

I knew poor scholarship girls like me didn't stand a chance against guys like Weston King and Donovan Kincaid, but I was in love with his world, their world, of parties and sex and power. I knew what I wanted—I knew who I wanted—until one night, their world tried to bite me back and Donovan saved me. He saved me, and then Weston finally noticed me, and I finally learned what it was to be in their world.

Because when dirty, filthy, rich boys play, they play for keeps.

From NYT Bestselling author Laurelin Paige, discover a whole new world filled with sex, love, power, romance and dirty, filthy rich men.

Dirty Filthy Rich Boys is the prequel to Laurelin Paige’s upcoming ‘Dirty Duet’ and introduces us to Sabrina, Weston and Donovan. I love this author’s work; her writing and the world she creates in her stories. I’m very curious for the ‘Dirty Duet’, and I love this short introduction.

“I saw him and what I saw was fascinating. It was ease and charm and privilege and it made me buzz. Made me breathe.”

Sabrina Lind is a young, somewhat naive girl who got into Harvard by working very hard and earning herself a scholarship, not because her parents are rich. Being a bit younger than her fellow students and coming from a different background, Sabrina mostly keeps to herself and views student life from a distance. One of her classmates is Weston King, a privilege guy on campus, and Sabrina’s secret crush. She knows he wouldn’t never notice her, but a bit of dirty imagination can’t hurt… Weston’s best friend Donovan is a bit of mystery, but after he rescues Sabrina from a dangerous situation, she can stop fantasizing about him.

“I should have been scared out of my mind. But instead of feeling scared, I felt empowered. And turned on. Just like in all those fantasies I’d had.”

Weston King and Donovan Kincaid are everything Sabrina is not. They are born into rich families and have the cocky and self-assured attitude that come with their status and upbringing. Harvard is just a phase for them, the goal is the family business their fathers have built together and to take over the world. Weston and Donovan have known each other their whole lives and are best friends, but they are not the same. Weston is the cocky party guy, while Donovan seems a bit more sinister.

“It was strange how it hadn’t felt like that much time had passed. It still felt like yesterday, and it also felt like it happened in another lifetime, to somebody else.”

As already said, Dirty Filthy Rich Boys is a short prequel to Laurelin Paige’s upcoming ‘Dirty Duet’. It’s written from Sabrina’s POV, and leaves me curious for the men, especially Donovan. I can’t wait for Dirty Filthy Rich Men to read more about all three characters. I give this prequel 4 stars.
