Sometimes love needs a second chance…
I never looked back after skipping out on my own wedding, even if it did leave me estranged from most of my family. Eight years later, I have the life I’ve always wanted. As an advertising account executive, my world is damn near perfect.
Until I come face-to-face with my past. With the man I once loved. The man who holds my future in his hands. The man who’s hell-bent on getting even with me for leaving him at the altar.
Even with all the unfinished business between us, I still love Knox Montgomery. The only problem?
He loves me…KNOT.
Is it possible, to get a second-chance with to person you left at the altar, with the person that broke your heart without giving a reason? He Loves Me … Knot tells the story of Emma Jane and Knox, high school sweethearts who thought they had it all, until they didn’t. I love their beautiful story.
“If you had to do it all over again, would you?”
Emma Jane is a happy woman; she has the job she always wanted and surrounds herself with a few close friends. But underneath it all she’s still hurt. Yes, she left her fiancé at the altar, but she had her reasons. When she meets Knox in a professional setting again, she knows her feelings for him are still there. Knox got over the hurt Emma Jane caused him (well, not really), but seeing her again makes clear he’s not over her.
“I’m going to prove that I’m the one you’re meant to be with.” I take a step toward her. “To prove my love for you.” I advance another step. “To prove that I won’t let anything ever come between us again.”
He Loves Me … Knot is RC Boldt’s latest book, and it’s a bit different from her other books. It feels more grown-up, more emotional, more real. Personally, I love it. The story is told from a dual POV, and switches from present, to past and back. It tells the story of two young teenagers falling for each other, and leads up to the fallout at their wedding day. And of course, it tells the story of two people who were apart for eight years, grew into their own persons and now give their relationship a second-chance. Is it an easy road? No, they really have to work for it, talk about their past and what they want for their future.
Knox and Emma Jane… Sigh… I love these people. Not just a couple, but also as individuals. They are smart, driven people who know what they want and achieve it with their own hard work. But at the same time, I wanted to yell at them a few times. Both made ‘mistakes’ that caused a lot of heartbreak. Knox, how could you do that, what were you thinking dude! And Emma Jane darling, assumption is the worst enemy. Never ever assume, ask! But all in all, I love this beautiful story; it’s well written, realistic and full of feelings.
“This man is my everything and I know without any doubt that I’m his. Our rocky past is firmly behind us, and each day I fall more in love with him.”
I love He Loves Me … Knot, I give the story of Emma Jane and Knox 5 stars.
