I received this book from Social Butterfly PR in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
A (brokenhearted) physicist.
Now an infamous (who is LITERALLY EVERYWHERE!! UGH!) musician.
The worst has already happened.Mona has learned that she has nothing figured out and plans are meaningless. After leaving her in Aspen, Abram is now breaking sales-records, rising to rock star fame almost overnight. Mona can’t seem to escape him. He is literally everywhere, or at least images of him are.
Just when she thinks things can't get any more confusing, Abram returns . . . What happens next? Only TIME will tell.
Like the ending of Motion, Space has left Mona (and us readers) with some questions. Mona knows about Abram’s feelings for her and how she feels about him, but the rest is still uncharted territory. With Time we get the conclusion to Mona and Abram’s story, I have enjoyed reading it very much.
“My feelings haven’t changed. I’m still insane about you. But . . .” I stroked her hair, kissing her temple, inhaling her sweet scent. “I want to be sane about you too.”
Love and feelings are still very unfamiliar for Mona, and she’s really struggling to cope with it. But that doesn’t diminish how she feels about Abram, her love for him is very, very real. Abram loves his beautiful, brilliant, awkward Mona, and he wants to be with her, whenever he can. However, both have a career that requires a lot of them, even taking them to different continents. They don’t see each other very much, but that doesn’t change their love for each other. They just have to find a way to make it work.
“I should’ve been feeling panic. I wasn’t. I was no longer the Mona who didn’t like to be touched or crowded. I was a cluster of nerves and dark wants, wanting this man to cover me, hold me down, take over.”
Time is the third part of the Laws of Physics Trilogy and is set right after Space. Mona and Abram are together and surround themselves with their loved ones. Some things can’t be repaired, and I’m happy Mona has chosen her own happiness, leaving behind some people. Mona and Abram may seem like an odd couple (she the brilliant genius, he the sensitive musician), but they are the perfect couple. I love Abram and Mona together; they are supportive of each other(’s career) and bring out the best in the other one. And that’s how a relationship works.
““My heart is yours, Mona.” I kissed her nose, my voice like sandpaper. “Always.” …. “And my heart is yours, Abram Harris,” she whispered. “Infinitely.”
